Mag-nificent Spring

It has happened!!! That wonderful moment at the end of a long cold winter when you realize that spring is just around the corner!  I was walking out my front door on my way to work when something tiny and green caught my eye! It was a brave little tulip shoot poking it's tiny head through the soggy, slushy ground of our flower bed! My  tulip friend has now been joined by several others, along with a little clan of daffodils, and even though I still have to pull out my snow shovel now and then, those ever growing little green beauties remind me to keep my chin up, spring is almost here!

Light The Way Home

I can still remember the first time I saw an antique tin punch lantern. I was fascinated by the beautifully intricate patterns!  I was told that because most families made their own lanterns, you could often recognize a friend coming down a dark street long before you could see their face, simply by looking at the punch pattern of his lantern.
