Some Pretty Little Things

We have had so much fun working together and making some great products, Not only  for our own home, But others as well. Here are a few of our favorites.

It all started with this old dresser. We found it on the side of the road with a card board sign that said take me, So we did. However, The dull tan color with black and animal print accents just wasn't  quite the look we were going for.

BeforeAfter

With a  touch of paint and some TLC, This dresser went from a walk on the wild side to simply elegant!

After that we were hooked and things snowballed from there. Our product line includes handmade home decor, Accessories, And refurbished furniture. We hope you enjoy some of our most recent projects.

A single word sums it up with our "Family" stretched canvas wall hanging. We love how the blue and metallic silver damask medallions put a new twist on a classic pattern!

Home Sweet Home

So this is home! Even though we are only renting the second floor apartment, We fell in love with this 1904 home in Logan, Utah.  Without the ability to make architectural changes, And a newly wed budget, It has been a fun adventure making it our own.
The Entry
The winding staircase, Complete with a landing and a turn at the top, Made moving in a little tricky, But it definitely adds charm to this small entry.

Skyler's obsession with glass is evident as soon as you walk into the home. A collection of glass bowls,Vases And an old dish used for covering cheese hold some treasures from the sea. The shells, Coral, And feathers under the dome we found on the beach during a  vacation to San Diego.

The high ceilings and tall narrow walls surrounding the stair landing made the perfect place for one of Lynn's original paintings.
The long central hallway upstairs works nicely as a photo gallery for some of our favorite photos.

The Bathroom
Inspiration for the bathrooms nautical theme came from a replica model of the Mayflower, A childhood Christmas gift Skyler received way back in the day.

We love the claw fut tub!
The antique vitamin bottles on top of the medicine
cabinet were found in Skyler's Grandparent's old barn.

The Guest Bedroom
We call this the "Grandma Room." Lynn's great grandmother made the quilt , And the ocean seen hanging above the bed was done by Lynn's grandma.  With the dormer window and slanting roof lines, It feels just like you are spending the night at grandma's house.

The chest under the dressing table was from Skyler's
grandparents. They brought it home form Nigeria after
serving as missionaries there in the 1980s
Beside the bed is an antique tea table found at and
estate sale. The legs come off and the top folds down.
It would have been brought out at tea time and then
collapsed and put away along with the tea things.

The Living Room
The book case in the corner was a wedding present from Lynn's Grandpa. It houses some of our favorite books, Including a collection of antique children's readers.

The old trunk was another treasure found in Grandmas barn.  When opened, It stands on end. One side is a chest of drawers and the other has a rack for hanging clothing.  The thing is heavy as an anvil empty, So I'm a little curious how they hauled it around when it was full!!!

The Kitchen
With it's mismatched cabinetry and funny vegetable drawer pulls, it's surprisingly homey. As in many houses, It's the heart of our home. It's where we play games and enjoy a good meal with friends and family, It's where Lynn and I do everything, From paying the bills to making our handmade home decor.

The Master Bedroom
The low bed on the floor was a great solution for the low sloped ceiling and gives a modern feel to this otherwise very traditional room.

And there's our old dresser, enjoying it's new home and it's fresh coat of paint. We're pretty sure nobody is missing the leopard spots!

We wanted to include  a couple of pictures from our last home as well. We lived here for first seven months of our marriage.

The Dining Room
Message boards in the kitchen are a great way to
display photos and cards or leave notes for family members.
